7th Grade Students Complete Service Project
The 7th grade students at West Ashley Middle School eagerly participated in the
Tri-County Youth Service Celebration. The students worked in ELA class to write
and illustrate childrens' books centered around strong themes that fall under
the categories of: social justice, animal welfare, and environmental ethics.
Some of the books created focus on stopping bullying, saving the rainforest,
helping homeless animals, and taking care of elderly people. The students will
be delivering the books to kindergarten and first grade classrooms throughout
CCSD. They are proud of their writing and are excited about sharing a focus on
literacy, as well as positive messages, with the children in our District.
